In March 2020, as the world came to a standstill and uncertainty clouded every home, a group of friends—once secure in corporate jobs—found themselves unemployed and searching for purpose.
With a little bit of savings, some borrowed courage, and all the hope in the world, we pooled in our PFs and piggy banks to give birth to a dream — Mud Cups, a tea joint close to the heart, made for the people, by the people.
Our vision was clear:
Create a space that connects with everyone — whether you arrive in a Mercedes, ride a rickshaw, or walk in barefoot. Tea, after all, should be everyone’s comfort, not a luxury.
We didn’t have much when we started:
No signboard on Day 1. But our amazing customers said, “We see a bunch of young, passionate people serving chai with pride — that’s more than enough.”
No forks for Maggi. But again, customers laughed and said, “Who needs a fork when God gave us hands?”

Today, with over 30+ outlets and 20,000+ cups served daily, Mud Cups is more than a tea joint — it’s a community, a movement, and a family.
